History

Hello, my name is Rufus Littlefield. I began working in the construction industry after college, helping real estate investors by repairing and maintaining their rental properties. Following that, I spent 2 years working for a construction company in Seattle, where I learned the ins and outs of both residential and commercial remodeling and renovation.

In 1991 I founded Littlefield Construction and worked on every aspect of residential remodeling, with a focus on basements, bathrooms, and kitchens. I ran the business for over 8 years, and then closed it in 1999 to pursue a career in Software Engineering.

I continued to do construction on the side, and eventually left the software world in 2021 to come back to my true passion of creating something tangible and concrete with my hands. I now provide quality construction and home improvement services to the greater Seattle area.

I am a licensed, bonded, and insured general contractor in the State of Washington.

Remodeling and Renovation at a Fair Price

I provide free estimates over the phone, or, if needed, an in-person consultation for a $150 fee which will be subtracted from the final invoice. We will review your project goals and expectations together, and I will provide options to help you choose the services that are right for your project and budget.

What areas do you service?

I typically service the areas defined within the boundaries of West Seattle, Bellevue, Kirkland, and North Seattle. However, I do occasionally work outside this area on larger, full-day jobs. Text or call to find out if I can serve your area for your project.

What is included with your free estimate?

All of my estimates include a fully detailed scope of the work to be completed. You will receive a written report with a breakdown of the services, materials, and time needed for your project, along with the project cost.

What is included with a paid estimate?

If I'm unable to provide an estimate based on the information you can provide via text and pictures, I charge $150 to come out to the project site. There we will do a detailed walkthrough of the project, take measurements, review design details, and discuss anything that might pose a challenge to the project completion. The estimate fee is deducted from the final invoice, so it becomes an up-front deposit if we decide to move forward.

How do you handle the scheduling of work orders?

I schedule most projects on a first-come, first-serve basis, but always allow some room in the schedule for small jobs to be taken care of as they arise.
